I’ll be the first to say it—you have to be very careful about who you partner with in the timeshare industry, which includes the resorts and developers as well as exit companies and resellers. Not all timeshares are equal – they have different benefits, different fee structures, and owner requirements. At the same time, not all exit companies are equal, either. Many third-party exit companies have come onto the scene in recent years and promise to help folks get out of their timeshare, but they don’t always deliver. Their poor service has tarnished the exit industry – much like some resorts have tarnished the timeshare model for others – and it’s cast a poor light on all the good work that my team and I have done to help people. For many timeshare owners, the story of Mary and Andrew Ciccaroni sounds all too familiar. Recently, WNBC New York profiled their story and how they dealt with their burdensome timeshare situation.
Originally, the Ciccaroni family thought it would be a great way to vacation with their two young children. “We thought it was a great deal. The maintenance fee wasn’t that expensive. Not even $1000 a year.” said Andrew. [Read more…]

AARP quotes CEO of Timeshare Exit Team

KOMO “Problem Solver” Connie Thompson Helps Scammed Couple
Back in September of 2015, Connie Thompson (our local KOMO news “Problem Solver”), brought to light the very unfortunate story of Denise and Ralf Sampson of Edmonds, Washington.
Years ago, Ralf and Denise had purchased a Mexican timeshare that they ended up using only once time — and never again. When they started receiving calls from people claiming they could sell the timeshare for them for an upfront fee, they decided it might be a good option to get out from under the burden. It turns out, it wasn’t. [Read more…]
